Born in northern Portugal, Frederico Martins discovered his passion for photography during his studies at Porto University. A self-taught photographer, he gained early recognition in photojournalism before transitioning to fashion photography, where he quickly made a name for himself.
His work has been featured in renowned publications such as Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Amica, Madame Figaro, Narcisse, and Les Échos Weekend. Frederico collaborates with creative teams across Lisbon, Porto, Paris, Milan, and New York, capturing stunning images that blend technical expertise with artistic vision.
Frederico leads Lalaland Studios, located on the south bank of the Douro River in Porto’s historic wine cellar district. Recognized as one of the most beautiful studios in Portugal, Lalaland Studios provides production support, including high quality beauty team, styling and curated locations, ensuring a seamless experience for creative professionals from around the world.
Expanding his artistic reach, Frederico is also a director, producing videos for editorial and advertising projects, combining his unique vision and storytelling skills to create compelling visual content.
